Did the white dominoes or black dominoes come first and when did they come along?

My mother and I are having a debate about this. She said dominoes are black w/ white spots and i said no, they're white w/ black spots. So then we looked it up and found that there are both types but then that only turned into another debate about which one was traditional or the original kind. So maybe you could help us figure this out.|||You two should move and argue about something else, but since you asked according to this site White came first.|||They both came out at the same time, but one dominoe started arguing with another dominoe over the issue of color.
