How is a fission chain-reaction similar to what happens when a row of dominoes falls?
once one atom is split, the energy given off splits another atom, thus a chain reaction occurs. To stop the flow of dominos one must interupt the movement of them by placing an object in the path. In a nuclear reaction the objects are control rods that absorb the splitting atoms and slow or stop the chain reaction
